Learn to calm, soothe, and bond with your baby through infant massage!
Becoming a parent is an often difficult transition, leaving you wondering what you can do to help your baby, and yourself, adjust to life outside the womb.
Infant massage is an amazing tool that all parents should know to help get through those difficult times.
We teach a five week series of classes that take you and your baby, aged 0-12 months, through a structured routine to accommodate their entire body. Classes are held in either group or individual format, in your home or ours, and are held once a week for an hour each time. Class also includes sample of oil used and all handouts.
Classes are held on the floor so we provide yoga mats, sheets, blankets as much as possible. Some examples of engaging discussions that can be held during classes include, but are not limited to, baby development, crying, colic/fussiness, bonding, and using routine to maintain ease and provide the best foundation for your parenting journey. Some of the benefits associated with infant massage are increased sleep patterns, decreased crying, better digestion, improved muscle tone, increased communication between caregiver and baby, and increased bonds formed.
Infant massage is rooted in theories from massage, yoga, and reflexology. Elizabeth will be your instructor for classes. She is a member of the International Association of Infant Massage (IAIM) founded by Vimala McClure. The mission of the IAIM is to “promote nurturing touch through training, education, and research so that babies, parents, and caregivers are loved, valued, and respected throughout the world community.”
